MTN

MTN is a multi-national mobile telecommunications company and South Africa’s largest cellphone network operator.

While only a small percentage of the population has a home computer or a laptop, almost all have mobile phones and the average South African has an average of 1.5 SIM cards activated at any one time. Unlike developed countries, not all of these are smart phones and this makes communications via SMS an essential part of any marketing strategy.
